Be-One makes sustainable choices visible through its architecture. Timber, light, ventilation, and energy generation come together in a single unified design. More than 1,000 solar panels are integrated directly into the facade, joining wood and glass to form one seamless, rhythmic structure.
The architecture of Be-One is built on the concept of continuity. Rather than traditional floors, it features a spatial continuum of interconnected workspaces, terraces, and walkways that seamlessly spiral upward through the building. With every step, the perspective, light, and connection to the surrounding environment subtly shift.
Be-One is built from modular units of approximately 100 m² that can easily be combined or expanded into workspaces. Each unit subtly shifts in height, creating a dynamic spatial flow rather than traditional, enclosed floors.
Natural light is the backbone of the design. The central atrium draws daylight deep into the heart of the building, while high ceilings, open lines of sight, and transparent facades create a bright, peaceful work environment. The building breathes to the rhythm of the day.
At the center of Be-One lies an open atrium that brings light and movement together. The various workspaces overlook a shared indoor garden, keeping people, spaces, and perspectives constantly connected. The atrium serves simultaneously as a meeting hub, a central walkway, and the architectural heart of the building.
Be-One redefines the traditional office space. By combining circulation, nature, light, and flexibility, it creates an environment that feels softer, more human, and more intuitive. A building where work and well-being come together.
A Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) was conducted for Be-One. According to initial impact analyses by an external advisory firm, Be-One nets 235 kg CO₂ stored per m² over its entire lifespan, whereas an average new European office building emits 528 kg CO₂ per m². This represents a fundamentally different and far more ambitious approach to sustainable construction: not just emitting less carbon, but actually capturing CO₂ throughout its life cycle.
The interior vision for Be-One draws inspiration from Japanese architecture and hospitality. Natural materials, soft transitions, open sightlines, and subtle details create an environment that radiates tranquility without feeling cold or minimalistic. A warm, total experience where nature, light, and space remain constantly present.
Indoors and outdoors seamlessly merge in Be-One. Inspired by the Japanese principle of Tori-Niwa, nature is given a permanent home throughout the entire building. Sightlines, greenery, and open spaces bring tranquility, light, and a stronger connection to the surroundings.
The workspaces are designed according to the Japanese principle of Ma: leaving space between objects, people, and functions. No overcrowded office floors, but rather a rhythm of openness, tranquility, and carefully placed elements that enhances focus and clarity.
According to the Japanese principle of Wabi, beauty does not need to be perfect. That is precisely why Be-One chooses natural materials that are allowed to live, age, and show character. This lends the building tranquility, authenticity, and a timeless appeal.
Be-One offers long-term workspaces for both small teams and larger organizations. The building was designed from the outset as a shared working environment where different companies come together to form an innovative ecosystem. In addition, Be-One also offers facilities as an event venue.
