Architecture shapes well-being and the workplace experience. A conviction that entrepreneur Johan Van Damme has held for years. It is from this vision that Be-One was born. In 2012, the project took tangible shape: at the intersection of the A12 and N16 in Puurs-Sint-Amands, he discovered a strategically located plot of land, the ideal location for an innovative and sustainable office building.
Top architects Laurent Warlop and Hugo Prades Claessens of Sharp Architectures join forces with Dimitri Fache of Usages. Together, they form a collective that merges architecture, spatial vision, and smart planning into the initial designs for Be-One. A building centered around wood, movement, and nature.
All necessary permits were obtained to start construction. This major milestone clears the way to get started. The project is ready for the next phase. Johan Van Damme signs off on the final blueprints.
In Austria, preparation begins on the wood that will eventually form the structure of Be-One. Carefully selected, processed, and prepared for a building where natural materials are central. A vital first step toward a fully wooden construction.
Japanese interior designer Tatsuro Miki becomes involved in the further development of Be-One. He is internationally renowned for his collaborations with Axel Vervoordt and his refined vision of spaces and materials. For Be-One, he contributes his expertise to the interior design, material selection, greenery, and final finishes of the building.
The first foundation pillars have been installed, in the presence of Mayor Koen Van den Heuvel of Puurs-Sint-Amands. This officially kicks off the construction. This phase marks a crucial step for the building’s structural stability. Construction works are now fully underway.
Be-One offers long-term workspaces for both small teams and larger organizations. The building was designed from the outset as a shared working environment where different companies come together to form an innovative ecosystem. In addition, Be-One also offers facilities as an event venue.
